Decarbonization in Action: Thermowatt Arcevia Plant Case Study

Since November 2024, the Thermowatt Arcevia plant has expanded its decarbonization process by integrating innovative mechatronic thermostats — TMEC Wi-Fi Immersion Heaters and Solar Flanged Heaters — into its domestic hot water production system. This transition replaces a high-power gas boiler used for heating domestic water for the canteen and the dressing rooms, optimizing energy consumption and reducing waste.

 

Key results so far:

  • 43 kWh/day savings (36%, with even more expected in summer!)
  • Sustainable comfort with stable outlet temperatures and adaptive energy management
  • Payback in just 9 weeks thanks to reduced consumption and maintenance
